 Each year, over 5 tons of seashells are confiscated at Costa Rica’s airports, taken from our beaches.
 These shells are buried at the airports because they cannot be returned to the sea. Without knowing whether they come from the Pacific or the Caribbean, returning them poses a significant risk to the ecosystem. Introducing Imperial beer has developed an artificial intelligence tool that quickly and accurately classifies the stranded shells at the airport as Pacific or Caribbean, allowing them to finally return home. With just a photo, the model analyzes the shell’s characteristics in seconds, identifying whether it’s from the Pacific or the Caribbean with over 90% accuracy. Help us keep raising awareness!
